Course Highlights
This culturally-specific financial education course takes into consideration African Americans’ shared history, culture, beliefs and behaviors around money management.
- Week 1: History of Black Homeownership
- Week 2: Spending Plans and Money Management
- Week 3: Saving and Investing
- Week 4: Understanding and Using Credit
- Week 5: Protecting Yourself and Your Assets
Three additional weeks are being offered with special guest Terrence Terrell of A and N Mortgage Services for those planning to purchase a home in the next 12 months. Participants may be eligible to receive a HUD-certified Homebuyer Education Class certificate upon completion of the full 8 weeks.
